Blog Carnival: Inspiration

The topic for EtsyBloggers for November is: What item are you working on? What is your inspiration for this piece?

Most of my projects get done the day I start them. Right now my inspiration is a challenge. I'm currently out of work, soon to start a new job. My cash input is very low. My challenge is to use what beads I have and only filling in with small purchases. It's been fun using up every possible bead. So if I plan to do a necklace and it comes up short, I adapt and will make it into a bracelet and earrings set. I've definitely got all my money's worth out of the previous bead purchases and able to pass those savings on to my customers.

My latest creation is a purple magnesite lanyard. Since the square purple beads have a variety of color, I was able to use up some odds and end spacer beads that I didn't have enough to make an entire jewelry set. So it worked out perfect.

Etsy Blogger of the Month: Devine Designs Jewelry

My favorite item and it's on SALE!
I admire handmade artists who make jewelry with wire. Once I admire their pieces, I then look down to see if they have fingers left. Devine Designs Jewelry works a lot with wire and incorporates gemstones  and other materials to make unique designs.

I picked out my favorite piece and post it above. I love how colorful it is, how unique the beads are, the whimsy of the wire, and how versatile it is to wear.

You will find anything from bracelets, to anklets to brooches. You must take a look at Devine Designs Jewelry shop!

I Accepted a Position!

As most of my readers know, I lost my job in August here in Dallas. Well, I'm glad to tell you that I accepted a job this week. I'm anxious to get back to work for a paycheck! I will be working for the largest distribution company for Overhead Door as a Marketing Manager.  I will be responsible for cities marketing initiatives in cities such as Kansas City, Atlanta, Las Vegas and more! It's a big job and I'm excited to start it. I already have so many ideas running through my head. The other great thing about this position is that it has me moving back home to Kansas City. Of course, the family is excited and so are my friends.

I hope to be back in Kansas City mid December. I'll know more next week. On Tuesday I have a couple of apartments to check out and then that will determine my move date. So it's driving me nuts, having accepted and having to wait! I'm like, get it done already.

I should still be able to keep up on my jewelry promotions, atleast I hope.  We're so lucky now this day and age to just pack up the business in the car and move hundreds of miles away.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving if I don't talk to you before that.
