Topic of discussion for Blog Carnival this month is: Spring is a time for new beginnings, when many of us get reorganized and put a fresh face on things. Describe and/or show us what you have done recently in your art space to get more organized.
This was actually a hard topic for me because I haven't done anything new with organization. I'm an organized person by nature. So I thought I'd share some of my organization techniques that work for me. Jewelry making is a hobby for me. So I don't have an overwhelming amount of supplies laying around. I do keep what supplies I have in organizer boxes or tackle boxes by beads and metals. I have a captains bed (like a day bed) that has 3 large drawers under the trundle bed that I keep all my supplies in. One drawer houses my little organizer boxes of beads and findings, the middle drawer is where I keep my stock ready for sale, and the last drawer hold my over-sized supplies that don't fit in the organizers, but fit in a wooden box, a bead tray, creative journal, and bead spinner. I like that I can put away all my supplies and it's all out of sight. Jewelry making leads to a lot of clutter and I like that I can put it away. I can't create when my surroundings are in disarray.
I keep my shipping supplies in a decorative basket under a table and everything is already "packaged" ready to be sent (envelope, business card, magnet, and thank you card). I have nesting baskets that are labeled by item: necklaces, earrings, etc. I just grab that basket, grab the sold item, and grab my pre-packaged supplies and off it goes. These sit on top of the table.
I live in an apartment and limited on space, so I utilize all that I can, which is plenty. One of these days I'll have a house and will be able to make a real craft area and leave some of my boxes out possibly (which do match that rooms color scheme). I envision shelves over a table where I can work and just grab up for that organizer box or tackle box.

Learn more about her endeavor on her website. She's even set up a donation widget if you can share. But most of all share this information...tweet it, share on Facebook, blog about it. Get this exciting project seen and heard. It could be any one of us.
If you're planning on attending any of the conferences, please connect with Martha.

A nice shout out to all those you featured me in Treasuries and Collections this week.
I'm happy to share the EtsyBlogger of the Month, NanjoDogz. NanjoDogz makes polymer animal Pandora beads. You will also find pendants, tiles, and carvings. She focuses on dogs, which is fine by this dog lover. We have 4 Yorkies. Have another pet? NanjoDogz will do custom orders. Here are a few of my favorites in her shop.
NanjoDogz also has a blog where she writes about her furry friends. As I scrolled through her blog, I could see all the different personalities each of her critters has. You need to check them out, and I promise you won't stop smiling.

Happy to be included in these fun treasuries and collections this week. Please check them out...you never know what kind of treasure you'll find.
I was a nanny/babysitter during my later years of college to a growing family that went from three to six special little souls in my life. I have been a part of this family for nearly 13 years. Jamie and Vaughn are the youngest in this family. Jamie was born after suffering a massive stroke while in utero. She is nothing short of a miracle. I wasn't sure if she'll ever be able to walk or talk. But this girl has a strong spirit and can do anything. She has her physical shortcomings, but she doesn't let them slow her down. Her right side is weak, but the girl can walk, run, and swim like all the others. Her younger brother Vaughn was born with a heart valve issue and later began suffering from seizures. They both take medications and go through therapy to keep in tip top shape. He's an all boy that has a tremendous sensitive side. I love them both to pieces.
With heart disease and stroke taking more lives than the next seven causes of death combined, you can’t help but make it personal. I’m walking in the American Heart & Stroke Association Start! Heart Walk for those already affected, and I’m walking to make sure that everyone is aware of their personal risks, to create hope that we can make someone else’s future bright.
My personal goal is to raise funds for the American Heart Association and I need your help to reach my donation goal. We are raising critical dollars for heart disease and stroke research and education.
You can “walk with me” by making a donation online. Click on the link below and you will be taken to my personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. The American Heart Association's online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you prefer to donate less, you can do so by sending a check made payable to the American Heart Association directly to me. Please leave a comment with your email address and I will send you my mailing address.
Follow This Link to visit my personal web page and help me in my efforts to support American Heart Association-KS Greater Kansas City
Your support will bring hope to those personally affected and at risk of heart disease and stroke like Jamie and Vaughn.
